FREDERICKSBURG – Tonight, Congressman Rob Wittman stood strong for First District priorities in the first of two candidate forums, which took place at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg.
“I want to thank the University of Mary Washington for hosting this forum and to the First District constituents who came out on a Monday evening to hear what I believe is the right path forward,” Wittman said. “The constituents of the First District are, and will always be, my number one priority. I am fighting to bring more accountability to Washington, ensure veterans receive the benefits they have earned, rebuild our military, and connect our students with 21st century jobs. Not only do I have a better vision for the future, but I have a proven record of results on these issues that matter to First District constituents and I humbly ask for their vote on Tuesday, November 6.”
Congressman Rob Wittman has represented the First District of Virginia in Congress since 2007. He serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, where he is the Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee. He is running for re-election to continue to bring common-sense, conservative principles to Washington.
