MONTROSS – Tonight, Congressman Rob Wittman again stood strong for First District priorities at the second candidate forum sponsored by the Hanover Chamber of Commerce at Hanover High School.
“I want to thank the Hanover Chamber of Commerce and Hanover High School for hosting this forum and to the First District constituents who came out on a Thursday evening to hear what I believe is the right path forward,”
Wittman said. “Tonight, I made it clear that the constituents of the First District are, and will always be, my number one priority. I have a strong record of results on the issues that matter to the First District. Every day, I am fighting to bring more accountability to Washington, ensure veterans receive the benefits they have earned, rebuild our military, and connect our students with 21st-century jobs.”
“My opponent’s platform tonight showed she believes one-size-fits-all, government-dictated solutions are best for the First District, and could not name a single issue where she stands apart from her party. I have run a campaign that shows my record of results and revolves around my call to serve,” said Wittman.
“Over the next 12 days, I will continue meeting with as many constituents as possible to share my vision for the future of the First District, Virginia, and our nation,”
Wittman said. “It has been an honor and privilege working for the people of the First District and I humbly ask again for their vote on Tuesday, November 6.”
Congressman Rob Wittman has represented the First District of Virginia in Congress since 2007. He serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, where he is the Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee. He is running for re-election to continue to bring common-sense, conservative principles to Washington.
