MONTROSS – Congressman Rob Wittman (VA-01) has committed to participate in two candidate forums before the election on November 6, 2018.

The first forum will take place on October 22 at 7pm at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg. The second forum will take place on October 25 at 7pm at Hanover High School in Mechanicsville.

“I look forward to engaging with my opponent and having a fair, civil discussion on the issues of the First District,” said Rep. Wittman. “The constituents of the First District are, and will always be, my number one priority. I am fighting to bring more accountability to Washington, ensure veterans receive the benefits they have earned, rebuild our military, and connect our students with 21st century jobs.”

Congressman Rob Wittman has represented the First District of Virginia in Congress since 2008. He serves on the House Natural Resources Committee and the House Armed Services Committee, where he is the Chairman of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee. He is running for re-election to continue to bring common-sense, conservative principles to Washington.
